Today I thought I’d post something a little different, so I hope you’ll all forgive a different style and a shot from inside, rather than my usual outdoor, nature shots.
My daughter has been desperate to move in to one of our bedrooms at the top of our house, which is rarely visited and pretty neglected. I went to look at it to see the work it needs and walked in to this sight...which for some reason really stopped me in my tracks.
The fading flowers on the windowsill and the neglected frame, with the sun peeping through the filthy glass, made me think of all of those that are isolating alone.
The hope of the sun peeking through is all many in the current climate have to lift their spirits and for those that don’t have the luxury of outdoor space, my heart goes out to you.
If you’re one of those people, this image is for you. Hold on to the light.
Although you may feel lonely and trapped and so overwhelmed by what is going on, I want you to know that there is still hope and this will not go on forever. There are still connections to be made and I will gladly email a little message whenever I can to lift your spirits...just DM me with your email.
Loneliness is such a huge cause of mental health issues and feeling isolated at this time must feel excruciating.
But know you’re as important as anyone else and we are all one big human race that you’re absolutely a special part of 🤎🤎🤎
