Hair has taken over the posts of late. A Here’s some nutrition #guidance of how I keep trim and #healthy. Back to #workouts tomorrow. My average #daily #menu :
#coffee Black, no #milk no sugar. Wakes you up & proven to start #metabolism I usually have one, 2 is even better. I don’t usually drink any other coffee other than the odd latte ( I’m missing my #starbucks and #costa)
No snacks just a #proteinshake or #smoothie I’ve been adding 3/4 different #fresh or #frozen #fruits last few weeks. My daughter loves making and drinking them too, Bonus! We’re getting at least 3 of our five a day. Berries have the least sugar content. If you are trying to lose weight, steer clear of bananas, apples, oranges & grapes which all have high natural sugar content.
People make the biggest mistake of thinking fruit is healthy therefore you can eat/drink as much as you like cos it’s healthy, right? WRONG!! Drinking cartons of fruit juices and shop bought smoothies/protein drinks can catch you out. Many are full of hidden sugars. As a guide if you buy shop bought, avoid juices/protein drinks with more than 10/12g of carbohydrates (of which are sugars) per bottle (not by 100ml/250g Careful not to get caught out. Check the “per bottle/carton content.
No snacks in between, if you crave snack/chocolate buy bags of mini Easter eggs. I eat 2/3 but have them straight after a meal. Sometimes with breakfast. I figure I can then burn it throughout the day, right? 🤷🏼♀️ Lunch: I #love eggs, high in #protein. If Vegan, plenty of alternative available. I eat carbs with #lunch. Allows me to burn them during the day or during my workouts. Egg on #toast, #avocado, any fresh salads. On the move? Cook/prepare lunch the night before. Any meat salads, last nights left over dinners, make a good lunch. Make it so you have the same amount of each source of food so protein (meat/fish/soya products/egg) #carbs (pasta/potato/bread) #Veg or #salad. Eat slowly until full
Portion control and the way you eat is important. Eat all in one sitting. Focus on every mouthful. #distractions make us #eat more.
