🚨 Squattober 🚨 -- Anyone else have joint pain from lifting heavy with squats? -- Well you always need to listen to your body and if hurts to much stop, but sometimes you just need to find a different way to do that exercise that dosn't put so much pressure on your joints -- As you guys know I love to squat, but ever since starting squattober my knees are always sore -- So I started switching up my routine and yesterday I did a Narrow Stance Parallel Squat with my heals elevated -- This form of squatting is beneficial because it helps with mechanics and joint sequencing -- if you are someone who has a tendency to break at the hip way to drastically at the beginning of the descent in a squat, than this type of squating will help dial in your knee and hip flexion sequencing -- If you struggle with this exercise you may need to work on your ankle mobility and balance before throwing this into your weekly routine -- I almost forgot but the benefit of elevating your heels is that the exercise becomes a lot safer and allows you to sit back without losing your balance -- I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and keep grinding pham 👊👊 -- 1stphormathletesearch 1stphorm Iam1stphorm legionofboom

The best piece of advice that I can offer anybody trying to grow: your body is adaptive and will try to outsource you any chance it gets. Hand placement matters. “Feeling” the muscle work matters. And variation matters. I’ve posted before about supersetting the same exercise with just different hand placement. It’s easy to fall into the routine trap and never create variation in your training.
