3️⃣ tips to get kick ass results with home workouts
A main concern I’ve been getting from ladies in the DMs lately is that home workouts are not as effective as gym workouts..
And while I completely understand that thought process (and used to think the same thing), I want to assure you that they 1000% can be!
Just as with gym workouts, some home workouts are effective, and others are NOT.
👏🏽 It always comes down to the movements you’re doing and whether or not your training is designed for you to progress.
Here are 3️⃣ of my TOP tips to make sure you’re working out effectively at home and continually progressing towards your goals👇🏼
✓ Prioritize compound movements.
Squats, lunges, push ups, etc are still the plug. Whether you’re doing them with dumbbells, bands, or bodyweight style-- these are the movements you should continue focusing on to tone & build your body.
✓ Emphasize progressive overload.
This involves continually increasing the demands on your body, in order to continually see changes in your body composition and strength. You can do this by increasing your weights and/or increasing your reps/sets.
✓ Incorporate tempo.
Tempo is the rate at which you perform different components of a movement & is highly underrated. To incorporate this, you might take 3 seconds to get down into a squat and then hold the squat for two seconds. Such a great way to continue seeing progress (especially if you don’t have heavier weights or any weights at all)!
Even before gyms were closed, over 50% of my CYF clients were losing fat, gaining definition, and increasing their strength solely working out from home🔥
If you implement these 3 things, you absolutely can, too!
Lemme know, which tip did you find most helpful!?👇🏼
