Always looking on the bright cider life 🍎|| This weekend has been so fun! Yesterday, I did some fall frolicking at stormkingartcenter, and then went to angryorchardwalden to enjoy the fall vibes 🍁 (and some cider). And it got me thinking about alcohol's role in my fitness-focused life.
My relationship with alcohol is pretty fluid. There are times where I have gone months without a drink, and others where I drink multiple times in one weekend. For me, it's not about focusing on the right or wrong amount to drink, but about becoming more mindful of how alcohol affects me and my wellness and athletic performance.
Fitness and good health is a priority for me, and I recognize that I feel stronger physically and mentally when I'm not drinking. But that doesn't mean I stop enjoying a glass of wine or a tasty cocktail from time to time.
So I try to plan ahead. If I know I'm going out with friends for a late night, I adjust. That means no early morning studio session. However, sometimes I want to go out and have fun without drinking or staying out late. And, that is possible especially when I prioritize some other activity the next day that is meaningful to me.
Everyone is different, so what may work for for me, may not work for you. It's about mindfully finding your own balance. LiveHealthleisurely ✌🏿
