People often think it’s enough to just feel your emotions, but what you really want to do is feel and find a healthy way to express what you’re feeling.
Emotion equals energy IN motion.
Physical movement is an incredible way to get things flowing in the body that can shift your vibration into a more blissful, or grounded and embodied state.
Dancing and movement are my first loves, and I have always used them as therapy from a young age. (Pair it with singing, screaming and toning and you’ve got yourself a match made in heaven for exercising your inner demons.)😉😅 The way that I express how I’m feeling the best is through dance, and I can always count on movement to bring me back into my body whenever I am feeling disconnected from my truth and authenticity.
Dancing brings me back home to myself whenever I have strayed too far.
Take some time this weekend to dance for yourself, whether it’s just a little groove in your kitchen, a full on performance, a regular daily dance class, or night out busting your moves on the dance floor — use that opportunity to express the things that are difficult to say, or write about.
