Kicking off the NFC East in our annual "Fantasy Fallout" series, we take a look at the impacts of moves for the Dallas Cowboys.
#DakPrescott: With the numerous losses of Su'a-Filo, Fleming, Cobb Witten, and Frederick, Prescott faces a notable drop in value, upside, and security. Now falling from the high-QB1 range to that of a mid-QB1, Prescott becomes a riskier option within that tier.
#EzekielElliott: Despite being one of the safest and most consistent backs in fantasy, Elliott is also hurt by the losses of Su'a-Filo and Fleming on the line but moreso the loss of Pro Bowler Travis Frederick. Even with an increased role in the receiving game with the departure of Cobb, Elliott should still see reduced value, upside, and security but still remain a high-RB1 option.
#AmariCooper: With the combination of the Cowboys' losses on the offensive line, the departure of Cobb and Witten, plus the move to Mike McCarthy at HC, it is a likelihood the Cowboys convert to an even more centralized passing offense, leaving Cooper as a high-volume target. Such results in a fair increase in value, a slight dip in security, and a drastic increase in upside.
#MichaelGallup: Likely the biggest beneficiary of the offseason moves and coaching change, Gallup should be the biggest recipient of lost targets to Cobb and Witten. Gallup enters borderline-WR2/WR3 relevance with realistic low-WR1 upside in a favorable offensive scheme.
#BlakeJarwin: Now stepping in as the clear top TE, Jarwin will be an undoubted beneficiary of the losses of Jason Witten and Randall Cobb. Though he has yet to show notable tangible production, Jarwin enters borderline-TE2 value with TE1 upside as a likely PPR-friendly option.
