It’s natural that the majority of the running community feel deflated right now due to the cancellation of all spring marathons (and other races) - the hours, tears, determination, early morning, late nights, the countless sacrifices that have been made by each and every individual training for their goal race. The PBs that slipped away from our grasp, the flights we never got, the places we didn’t visit.
You are not alone.
Allow yourself the opportunity to be disappointed. Then dust yourself down, pick yourself up, and go again.
Your training hasn’t been for nothing. You have still gained that level of fitness. Now dial it back, build your base and focus on your strength.
