This might not be a very popular statement but I have to admit that I’ve had moments when I struggled with Italian food. I don’t really eat cheese, I try to limit gluten, I’m not a big fan of pasta and pizza. I like substantial breakfasts and light green lunches and dinners, especially in the summer. A lot of our meals were hit or miss because of that. But our luck changed when we got to Florence. We’ve had so many wonderful meals and indulged quite a bit. And it finally felt right.
