PULWAMA: The attack on soldiers on Thursday night left the locals of Trichal village horrified as according to them they were brutally assaulted, abused and dragged out from their houses by Indian soldiers.
Trichal village is barely 2 kilometres away from South Kashmir's Pulwama district. At the entry point of the village there is a bailey bridge where militants detonated a powerful IED on Thursday night. The blast left the mighty Casper vehicle of 55 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army damaged while 7 soldiers were reportedly wounded.
Shortly after the incident, soldiers let loose a reign of terror. There are couple of hoses near the bridge where the incident took place. "The agitated soldiers wrought havoc and even used iron rods and weapons to target people not sparing women folk as well. The soldiers molested women and little girls after they barged into the house during late hours," victims told news agency CNS.
At least 11 victims were brought to District hospital Pulwama. One of the victims has suffered grievous injuries on head as according to him a soldier hit his head with a plough. " Even women were attacked in the dead of the night. Nobody was there to save us from these armed soldiers," said the victim.
They said after every militant attack, these soldiers target unarmed civilians.
A police official said they are investigating the matter.
