DB “21” CURLS - 3 x 21 This is not your typical 21 curls done standing up with 7 reps from the bottom to halfway point, halfway point to top, then your full range of motion. This variation hits all three strength curls of the biceps with three different variations of curls. First set of 7 is a seated DB curl, peak contraction on this is at the mid range point. Next is an incline DB curl, peak contraction of this curl is at the beginning range of motion plus, at the bottom, you get a really good pre-stretch of the long head. Last 7 reps is an inverted DB curl, peak contraction of this curl is at the top of the motion, mainly hitting the short head of the biceps. Make sure to squeeze your triceps at the bottom of every single rep to really eccentrically contract the biceps. No rest between the three variations. I never stop working, I never stop doing things. If I gave you a list of all the things I’m working on you’d probably be shocked. I’ve had this problem from a very young age and it’s mostly due to my habit adhd. I don’t often talk a lot about adhd but it can cause some serious life issues and disruptions and it has for me and I’m sure many of you out there. I have no idea how to relax unless I’m hungover. . That’s one way of looking at it... . Another way of looking at it is, I’m driven, determined, focused and ambitious. Anyone that knows me well knows that when I want something I got after it. There are negatives and positives to everything but it’s about finding the balance. . . The thing is that ADHD makes you forget a lot of things, my head is constantly bouncing from one point to the next and rarely ever stops. I can’t focus one on thing, I have to be doing a lot at the same time. I forget to do a lot of really important things like change the oil in my car or pay bills. . . These are all things I get better at because well, I don’t really have a choice. There are always two ways of looking at things. But what I do know is that if I ever stopped creating, I would be depressed. Yes I might have a lot going on but it keeps me focused and happy. I feel good when I make something that’s my own. It’s hard for someone with a serious chronic illness to be expected to show up 9-5 five days a week. It actually isn’t really possible for most people. I can’t live that grind forever so that gives me the push to get up everyday and create my own things. The workforce we have now isn’t setup for bipolar disorder and adhd, but I hope to change that. . . I will never forget to call my mom, have coffee in the morning with my partner or visit a friend.
