Momma Bear 🐻❤ This is a role I’ve drawn a lot of strength, love, patience and happiness from. It’s also a role that completely turned my life upside down 🙃 but from this new perspective, life looks pretty amazing. When it comes to our yoga practice, it's easy to stay stagnant and comfortable. We tell ourselves that we could never do a headstand, a handstand, full splits, etc. But what do we gain from that? 🤔 Opening ourselves up to new perspectives, new environments and the great unknown… this is where change happens… where REAL LIFE happens! It’s where we blossom, learn more about ourselves, discover we’re stronger than we once thought and it can truly be a place of pure joy. Just like yoga, the same thought process applies to life. I always knew I wanted to be a mother. Before I stepped into that journey, I was an award-winning graphic designer in Chicago… this was always a dream of mine. Frankly, one I hadn’t been sure I could everrrr achieve. Trading one dream for another was a SCARY leap… it was always easy for me to leave a bad situation for a fresh start. What was there to lose? Not much. This time was different, though… every now and then, I was like: am I crazy for walking away from this? While those thoughts didn’t creep in very often, they were there. However, I wanted to be a mother more than anything 😍 I had already achieved that other dream of doing design work downtown. I could check that off the list ✔ So, I took the leap. Stepping into motherhood has been rewarding on a lot of levels as has becoming a yoga teacher. This past year has been one of my most incredible journeys ever. I’ve watched our little boy grow and learn and it’s made me & my husband grow and learn for SURE. I am crazy grateful for this new perspective on life. This new chapter has touched my heart in many, many ways. So, if you’re looking for a sign to take that next big leap… LET THIS BE IT! Do that thing! Follow your heart! Let that inspiration drive you and just GO FOR IT.
