Today marked Day 1 of a brand new program. While I’m still finishing up the final week of my 80 day program, I wanted to start on day 1 with the rest of the group, so I’m going to be doing doubles a few days this week and modifying some of the final 80 day workouts. Since this is my second round of the 80 day program, I’m not as worried if I change things up. I’ve been doing hour long workouts, six days per week, since January, so I’m ready to switch things up. I know that my body is really ready for the new challenges too. . . This new program combines weightlifting , high intensity interval training (HIIT), and core workouts. It is an intense program that will really help you build lean muscle and tone all over. The best part about this program is that it’s only 4 days per week and all of the workouts are under 40 minutes. So all of you people who say they’re too busy to workout, your excuse is officially invalid. 😉 . . If you are looking for a quick and efficient program that will shred your body, I have another group starting on August 6th. It’s an 8 week program. Day 1 week 1/8. Chest and tris + HIIT 50/50. No effing wonder Joel wants us to have more recovery days. . . Now usually I can do a tricep push-up on my toes no problem but today I had to modify, definitely took a hit on my pride (thanks Joel) but that just goes to show how much work I still have to do and how much progress is to be made within these next 8 weeks. . Sometimes i feel my body shape should be labeled: awkward AF. God blessed me with a wide back and thick thighs. Birth control gave me bigger boobs and even thicker thighs and arms. My waist remains in tact. The easiest thing for me to shop for is a dress. I dont have to worry about tight legs, or tucking my shirt in at work. But now with my back wider than normal I’m uncomfortable in EVERYTHING. Now I just shop for comfort and stop caring about the size. I dont weigh myself anymore. I don’t count macros anymore. I just live my damn life. I’m very excited that tomorrow is my (finger crossed) last week of birth control. Either we get pregnant with IUI or not and I’m off it for a long time. The unilateral workload of adding weight to only one side requires high stabilizing forces of all core mucles, especially the obliques. It also requires the leg closest to the weight to do more work. Last night I had THE BIGGEST craving for everything and anything that was sweet and sugary! Decided the best way to satisfy and curb my cravings was with some protein pancakes which I topped with banana 'nice cream' and some cacao nibs and some sugar free golden syrup. Into crunch time. About 16 weeks out from my first bikini comp. prep update below vvv Current physique at about 120 lbs (I’m 5’3”). I’ve programmed 4 more weeks of bulk into my program and I’m being strict w 140g protein each day (this is gonna be tough). Also completely cutting cardio out of my life for the next 4 weeks. Once I hit 12 weeks out I’m reintroducing cardio and cutting my calories by 400 every 2 weeks. The goal is to lose fat (obviously) get the baby abs out and show off the quads. I’m hoping to not lose too much weight considering I’m pretty small for a bulk already. I’m hoping to hover around 110-115 come comp time. My biggest fear right now is that I didn’t bulk hard enough because I really didn’t gain any weight (I gained a lot about 6 months ago in a different bulk) but this is a learning process and if I back out now I’ll never get this done. Looking at these pics my upper back is lacking and I’m not sure how my hamstrings are going to look post shred & im kind of nervous about that considering most shows are won from the back. But I’m happy w my delts I was super worried about those after my shoulder injury & my glutes are looking fire as always hehe. I’ll be hitting all of my weak points at least 2x week for a while now.
