I have been struggling lately getting my butt to the gym! But once there I have been putting 110% in and feeling awesome after! My body has been so sore even after the weekend rest day 😱. I think a good massage is in order after some heavy lift days last week. POST 3 hi babes!!!! this is going to be my third post for my "College Series" and it is all about eating in the dining hall (or eating out in general)! a couple key tips to remember 1) avoid getting dessert every time you go out to eat rather it be in the dining hall or a restaurant, cafeteria, etc. like i always say everything in MODERATION! here and there it's okay but if you get it constantly over and over again that's when it becomes a problem. 2) avoid surgery drinks - when eating out it's so easy to get a soda, juice, milk, etc. but honestly water is KEY! overall i recommend drinking water with every meal and throughout the day (again this is where moderation comes into play). For breakfast when I eat in the dining hall I try to eat a good amount of carbs and protein, carbohydrates give you energy throughout the day so it's very beneficial to eat them in the morning so you have energy and can burn them off. A few examples of a normal breakfast would be : yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, toast. I also like to get some protein in in the morning because I like to have protein with every meal so a few examples of that would be : chicken, eggs, turkey bacons, etc.) I can't say I always do this but it's also a good habit to start eating vegetables with every meal, i usually do when i eat lunch and dinner but usually around breakfast they aren't always available but it's just a good thing to keep in mind! Sunday was a weird day for me. I was approached by two older gentlemen who I know but not well. One of them told me I was looking ‘big’ (I was also wearing a shirt about 2 sizes too big) which took me by surprise and I explained that this is the way I like to look and how I train and he proceeded to make some remark about weight training and men. Another grabbed me physically in the stomach region and made a comment on how I wouldn’t be fitting back into any of my skating leotards anytime soon. I owe neither of those men an explanation for the way I look, nor did they have any place to comment. I don’t have body issues and I’m happy with my physique, there are no rules that constitute what a female should look like, my personal ideal body type is what makes me happy. I shouldn’t be but I’m used to these comments from men who don’t know me who feel like they should voice there opinion on how a 20 year old girl should look. I’m so grateful for James, he’s never made me feel body conscious ever, he makes me feel beautiful the way I am. There are some decent men in the world 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m just glad i wasn’t someone with body dismorphia and comments like that could have regressed my self esteem. Ladies remember you are beautiful, no one else gets a damn opinion. It’s about you and what makes YOU happy, be confident if your own skin. And if you are reading this and you’ve felt the need to ever comment on the way someone looks, man or woman, take my advice and shut the fuck up, under no circumstances ever will it be okay to say something.🖕🏼❤️ Here’s some pics of me feelin myself ☺️

I SWEAR I’m an athlete until I see myself do high knees 🤦🏽‍♀️. Probably 1 on the list of things to look better doing. But it’s proof that no trainer is perfect!
