character: erolen “ero” gorre zaltarish, king of the elves.
pov used: no
erolen was born into royalty, and became king at the young age of 129. he met his wife, aisha, when he was 134, and married her when he was 142. they’ve been married since. he still lives in the kingdom and is still king.
however, he did… die for a short while, nearly a year. but he had faked his death to protect his wife from another king.
but was he a good king? that all depends on who you ask.
as the main kingdom, beleothel, is divided into three categories, opinions differ among them.
of course, the rich tend to like him, the middle class, it really just depends, and the poor don’t like him all too much.
but this is all mostly opinion based, he is good at ruling, and he’s a pretty fair king.
no one really knows whether or not he’s good at forming relationships, and in complete honesty neither does he. he has a bond with his wife, and a few of the castle servants, (including gweyr, who i introduced already) but that’s it.
he’s very flirty, in an almost rude way, yet he’s so charming he gets away with it.
he has so many chances to just cheat on his wife, not only because he’s king but just because he’s… eligible for a one night stand, but he has never once done this. he would never.
contrary to popular belief, the only person he has ever loved was her.
he often doesn’t act like a very nice person.
he’s incredibly egotistical, but it’s just a mask.
he has a pet panther, lura, who is always at his side.
through erolen’s flirtatiousness and charisma, he’s a very miserable man. he puts on a mask of charm, and sits upon a throne of deceit, but deep down he is incredibly unhappy. he’s also in the constant fear his wife will leave him, even though she wouldn’t, and she understands why he’s so seemingly unfaithful.
he’s a prince who became king far too soon, and let his mind… vanish.
