Santosha- inner contentment.
That means to accept the things the way they are and what is and to find peace with it. It means to appreciate what we have and what we are already. It’s the idea to be able to find contentment in any circumstances and to keep a positive attitude in difficult times.
I know contentment isn’t the easiest thing to practice- if it were then we‘d be all a lot more content with ourselves instead of looking for the next thing that makes us ‚better‘ or ‚happier‘. Underneath our wants and worries we can find a sense of grounding and the more we choose contentment, the more we are able to grow.
Think about how often does the phrase ‚I’ll be happy when...‘ cross your mind.
And ask yourself ‚What is true about me no matter what?‘
What we truly are underneath is true and pure and more than good enough- everything is already inside you. There is no one else who can offer the world what you have to offer.
Dig deep and be content with what is rather than as you think what should be. Being happy isn’t the ‚goal’, being content is🙏🏼
