The heirs to Prince's fortune want to pull the plug on a lucrative deal with Tidal, claiming the service lied about streaming data. In a letter obtained by TMZ, an attorney for Sharon, Norrine and John Nelson cites accusations that Tidal inflated "the streaming numbers" for Beyonce's Lemonade and Kanye West's The Life of Pablo. Specifically, the letter says the numbers for those albums were boosted by several hundred million streams, causing royalties for Bey and 'Ye to skyrocket. The heirs are asking the judge to reconsider the order that granted Tidal exclusive streaming rights for an upcoming album of unreleased Prince music because they don't want to get caught up in the service's legal problems. The inflation claims were previously denied by Tidal CEO Richard Sanders.
