Try not to come to #innovation as if it were a project.
Being #successful in innovation means you #commit to it.
You marry it.
#Involve her in everything you do.
Make her your #priority.
And never let her go.
You can’t but be successful in innovation.
Innovation is about #embracingchange as a #key #driver into the #DNA of your #company.
Being an #SME is a major benefit over the Big Boys.
The Big Industry Players are not #flexible, slow to #respond, have a huge #hierarchy with many layers, and are cold & distant.
Where SME’s are smaller, therefore we are more flexible, mostly owner-managed & thus #fast in decision-making, because of the low hierarchy employees #identify more highly with the #organization, and we’re simply ‘better’ because of the direct & constant #personal contact with the #customers.
Yes, we might have a smaller budget, but we also have our #advantages.
SO be smarter.
To be successful in innovating within your SME, it is essential that you #adopt it in your business #strategy.
This strategy is rather dependent on your market share: - If your share is rather small, the strategy called ‘#ANALYSER’ is favored:
you focus on maintaining a stable & limited line of products or services,
operating routinely & efficiently through formalized structures & processes.
And you monitor a carefully selected set of promising new products & markets developments in different industries. - But when your market share is large, you can afford yourself to look into the ‘#PROSPECTOR’ strategy: continuously keep looking for market opportunities & regularly experiment with potential responses to emerging environmental trends.
Often times it is you that create change & uncertainty, so that your competitors must respond.
So where do you fit in?
Did you already adopt innovation into your business strategy?
Does it resonate with what is recommended?
