I'm sharing the final results tomorrow so make sure to turn on post notification!
Most of my video content is on YouTube but I want to take advantage of the IGTV feature and share with you how I create images and some thoughts behind them. This one was fun and it's something I'm going to explore more often - colors.
My current mindset is: I feel like Jim Carrey,
I needed color.
I want to break free of these restrictions that say do x or y, I want to create what my brain imagines. Break free of "rules" and behave like artists. I think it boils down to being 110% honest with ourselves. This is a risk for me. I don't do this because of likes, although it feels nice. If it was only about that, I'd shoot outdoors, shallow with bokeh'd out background all the time. I can't do that. As much as possible, I want to like what I create not follow a trend. I want to look at my images in 20 years and say, "wow - this was good". Mastering the use of colors is the first step towards that. Colors are deeply wired into our brains. Advertisement uses it constantly to influence our perception. Most of us dress according to color palettes, seasonal appropriate colors, moods or how we feel. Color represents emotions. Color is beautiful.
We need colors.
On that, I'll see you tomorrow.
