Repost from @nirensmehta using @RepostRegramApp - Glimpse of the Pride Parade, by @queerazaadimumbai, I photographed. I met some amazing souls in the parade and it was an absolutely thrilling experience.
We live in a society where everything and everyone is judged on the basis of how they carry themselves in public, how they react in different situation, how they look, what is their background, who are they seeing, are they single or married and et cetera.
Other than being my birth place, Mumbai has always been one of my most favorite cities to photograph.
As they say, Mumbai is not a city, it is an emotion.
And I could absolutely feel that emotion in this amazing event.
No one looks at you and judges you.
Big grins and heart-warming smiles all around.
Everyone is genuinely happy and cheerful.
Everyone is happy to pose for you. (A very delightful sight for me, makes my work more satisfactory.) And in the end, a very very rare sight to see these days, around 15+ thousand people standing as ONE! 😄
At the end, what really matters is not what we bought, but what we built; not what we got, but what we shared; not our competence, but our character; and not our success, but our significance. Live a life that matters. Live a life of LOVE.
