In Nordic mythology , Njörd is the god of the Sea, Winds and Fire. He brings good fortune at sea as well as good fishing. The god Njörd is a god of the divine family of the Vanes, he was the king of this same divine family before the first war in the universe, between the Aes and the Vanes.
God Njörd could calm the storm, put out the fire and give the chance to fishermen. We could ask him anything. That's why he also decided on the wealth of fishermen, sailors and traders, all of whom appealed to him. Njörd was worshiped in many ritual places in Norway and Sweden and his veneration was as important as that of Odin. Sacred ceremonies and offerings were often made in honor of Odin, Njörd and Freyr. The worship of this god was the most important among the Germanic and Nordic peoples in contact with the sea or large water points.
