We are all familiar with the old bush cliché of "you never know what's around the next corner," but sometimes there isn't anything waiting for you around the next corner. As with anything in life, the ebb and flow of sightings in the bush can take you from cats, dogs, hyenas and honey badgers to well, not much at all. The past few days have been quiet at Djuma and so @jamesrahendry and @sebrombi came up with a unique sighting for us all to enjoy, James made an impressive but not so successful leap across the Vuyatela pumped pan. Homo sapiens have been recorded jumping horizontally almost nine meters, yet our physiology has evolved for long distance, stamina running, not jumping. Still James gave it his best shot and although he came out of it covered in disgusting muck the cooling relief of the water must've taken the edge of a warm spring morning in the Sabi Sand.
