Just returned home from Bobbie’s checkup appointment this morning. The vet said during the operation he almost cried himself because Bobbie was so little and the tumour was so big, apparently there was a lot of blood coming from him and they weren’t sure if he was even going to make it through. He said he had to remove a piece of his spine in order to get to the part of the tumour around it. But, I believe all of your good thoughts and prayers worked because he said as soon as he came to and they put him into his cage/incubator, the first thing he did was run to his mirror toy and started playing. They couldn’t believe it.
Now, to where he is at now... I have to keep his wound clean with an antiseptic spray and then put some cream on it every day. Apparently a part of it has still yet to heal. He has to go back in a week for another checkup. He may require another procedure to fix this if it doesn’t show signs of healing. They said when they closed him up after the operation, there wasn’t much skin to close him up with, as they took out so much. But I’m hoping this will help and he won’t need to go through another procedure. Right now he’s sitting outside enjoying the sun with Zoe his best dog friend (they love each other) it’s so cute.
I have kept the go fund me open due to more upcoming appointments and medications etc. it all helps so much. I don’t want to ask those of you who have already given, I am so thankful to you. But if you could continue to share Bobbie’s story it would really mean a lot.
I will keep you all updated as things progress.
