Ask yourself this today: Are you genuinely committed to healing from your traumas? Or, are you justifying your numbness with fear?
Whatever your answer, it’s cool. We each have the time we need to process. You don’t have to be perfect to be committed to healing, you just have to be honest. Honesty isn’t always pretty, but it will release you from the choking stagnation of fear, comfortable pain, and blind rage.
Being honest with yourself and others might feel clunky and make you shake or sweat, but you must do it. You might feel like a child, but you must remind yourself that in this culture, to feel like a child when you’re an adult is an opportunity to close a cycle of trauma and achieve a spiritual equilibrium.
It’s a moment to recognize that something happened to you as a kid that you now have the power to heal as an adult. Recognize this and you can heal. Practice this and you can save the world.
