With the strength of the core and surrounding muscles, I can manipulate my body to still move without compromising my back (even after all the Christmas cookies, I still have 2 abdominal left that work🙈)
Ankle weights are my favorite resistant strength training tool and have been my chosen partner for YEARS. I mean, into the early teen years. I still have the ones with heavy sand and lime green on the trim!
☝The slow movement teaches patience. When we start to rush through the movements our bodies aren't alloted enough time to work, therefore we use the joints and often our backs.
Fire hydrant is the hip busting, strengthening move to help side glute build muscle & increase the protection of your back. Leg lift with stacked hips opens hip flexor responsible for lengthening quads and also opening low back. Think of a harness, it wraps around both groins and connects to low back...more than likely your back is tight/injured because you lack flexibility in your front legs.....unless you have a spinal injury like me or legit pulled your back. I know the feeling😭
