Why do you love to hike? 🥾 Hiking is our passion and is by far what we spend most of our time planning and doing. But sometimes, when we are out of breath and covered in mud and bug bites, we wonder why we love it so much. Is it being one with nature? Is it discovering new places? Is it overcoming the physical challenge? Is it the view from the top? Maybe we like it because it's free! 🤪 Whatever the reason, we continue to put ourselves through pain and suffering, over and over again. So there must be something really special about it. What do you think the call to wild is all about? Do you love hiking? Or hate it?

What’s your favourite eco-friendly product? ♻️ The first and easiest switch we made was swapping out 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 like water bottles, coffee cups and straws. If you have ever camped, hiked or lived on the road you know how important it is to manage your waste. Having a reusable travel cup goes a long way. And now the perfect mix of convenience and portability is available to us ➡️ @hydawaybottle has just launched their brand-new 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿 🥃 This 16 oz, food-grade silicone tumbler is perfect for all you travellers and adventurers to help reduce your use of single-use plastics. And 𝗛𝗬𝗗𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗬 has gone the extra step by making this cup super portable as it collapses down to 1 inch and is super lightweight. You can pack it along with you anywhere you go to keep your hot and cold drinks insulated and ready to sip. The cherry on top? They have the most gorgeous colours and graphics to choose from (ours is ‘Yukon’ ✨). If you believe in saving the planet, one plastic bottle at a time, go join their 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 and support this amazing brand! Be the first to get your hands on this tumbler and back this project before October 1st, 2020. Check it out at https://hydaway-tumbler.kckb.st/fuel (𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗼)

What was your favourite summer 2020 adventure? 😝 . We had a killer summer exploring British Columbia and found a new appreciation for discovering our own backyard. Perhaps we don't need to jump on a plane and travel thousands of miles to create new experiences. Maybe we can all be happy a little closer to home ❤ . What has been your biggest lesson during quarantine? .

Have you ever swam with icebergs? 🥶 . Vancouver Island mornings are starting to feel as cold as a dip in Foster Lake (aka Iceberg Lake). These chilly mornings are a sad reminder that summer is coming to an end. But we are definitely excited about those fall colours and everything pumpkin spice 🍂🎃 . Which season do you prefer: summer or autumn? .

Have you ever seen an inukshuk? . You will find them all over Canada. But what are they? . Simply put, inukshuks are structures made of stones piled on top of each other. They have been used by the Inuit people for thousands of years to help navigate the frozen North. . You can still find them today with a similar purpose. Inukshuks will often mark a trail so you don't lose your way. This particular inukshuk helped lead us to the beautiful Landslide Lake. . So if you are ever hiking in Canada, look out for these! They will help guide your way 🧭 .

Are you a craft beer lover? 🍻 . #ad Lately, we have been getting up close and personal with BC craft beers. BC's climate, soil and passionate brewmasters are creating perfectly balanced, flavourful and crisp beers for the world to enjoy. . This summer we were introduced to another amazing BC beer! @treebrewing is an iconic and longstanding brewery that is making the most delicious craft beers. From their slighty sweet & malty 'Thirsty Beaver' to their intense & snappy 'Hop Head IPA' - they make a beer for everyone. . Tree Brewing was the first microbrewery in Kelowna (now named the Kelowna Beer Institute on the @bcaletrail). It has since moved its facility to Vancouver. So this beer is British Columbian through and through ❤ . The reason for the "Tree" in the name? They are committed to the restoration of BC forests through their fundraising initiatives. Every year British Columbia faces a high risk of massive wildfires. And we are thrilled to support their cause! . What's your favourite summer drink? .

What is summer 2020 looking like for you? ☀️ . We just spent 5 wonderful days following the @bcaletrail through the Kamloops, Shuswap and Vernon regions. Some might call this BC's Beer Triangle 🍻 . We are happy that BC has entered Phase 3 of the provincial recovery plan and that it is safe for us to travel within our beautiful province. The Kamloops, Shuswap & Vernon region offers endless outdoor activities to keep you safe. And we were happy to see all the breweries and other businesses taking all the necessary precautions. . Our first stop was beautiful Vernon! A hidden gem that is surrounded by crystal clear, warm water lakes. We have never seen so many beaches and water activity in one place. We wanted to spend all day beach hopping and hanging out with the locals 🤙 .
